Let them eat cake!

I recently got the free 30 day trial of CS6 photoshop and i'm simply in love with all the cool things i can do on there. I studied Photography in college for 2 years so I'm not a newbie when it comes to photoshop but i believe that even if i was, i could still navigate this version good enough! Also there are plenty of tutorials out there for people who have never even looked at photoshop but what to give it a try.

One of the things that i was excited to try out was some word art for my kitchen. I've had a few different ideas but this quote from madagascar seemed to fit perfectly today.

{feeding a picky toddler is probably one of the hardest things to do these days}

It's really simple and straight forward to make your own basic word art so go give it a try!

I also like the idea of recipe wall art right now, I've seen a few versions out and about there (yeh on pinterest, whatves) but heres my own ...

I make these rolls ALL the time, I can't cook or bake or make bread {is that classed as baking?} but these rolls have never ever been anything but amazing!
Once i print this our and put it on my kitchen wall, i'll never have to google it again.

  1. Hey! Thanks for your comment on my blog. I definitely did not use the lidsville pattern. I tried so hard to use that pattern one weekend and ended up crying in frustration! lol I couldn't figure out if it was just me, or if the pattern really was crazy. I finally stumbled across this lady's blog, and she has a great template and tutorial. I worked the hat in single crochet, making the shapes in the template and following her instructions for construction, and was so pleased. I'm working on getting it down in actual crochet pattern format so I can sell it, but I haven't quite got it perfect yet. Gauge is tricky for me. So, unfortunately, I've not got a good pattern for you yet, but have a loot at those resources and see if you find them helpful. :)

  3. oh wow! thank you so much for the link, seriously, I'm dying to make some for my boys but got really angry that there wasn't a good pattern out there. I HATE the feeling of spending forever working out a pattern to find yourself with nothing after hours. You did a really good job of yours, I've only seen on semi good pattern for sale out there, I'm sure you've seen it too, the blue hat one? Get your pattern out there and I'm sure it will be a great hit!
    I'm totally with you on the gauge blah, i have no idea how to work that stuff out. If i manage to make something decent i'll be sure to let you know!

  4. The recipe wall art is brilliant! I haven't really used photoshop-that's so much more my husband's department. I'd love to start figuring it out though!
